The device is used for testing natural and synthetic stones such as diamond, moisanite, zirconium, sapphire, spinel, zirconium.
It works on the principle of measuring length and attenuation of light wave. The indications of the device can be compared with the attached table in which the values for most of the jewellery stones available on the market are specified.
The device can be powered by a battery or 12 V power supply.
